This project involved the creation of a large painting
that is the focal point of the hotel's "Great Room",
and two smaller paintings that prominently hang in one
of the Meeting Rooms.
The large painting is a textured-oil, abstract
sunset, measuring 22 feet across, by 5.5 feet high.
The smaller paintings are textured oils as well, measuring 2.5
by 3.5 feet.
Lobby
Painting:

This is the outline of the large abstract painting -- the length
of it is deceiving, since the picture was taken at an angle!

This is halfway through the stretching process
-- additional supports would be added before the stretching
is completed.

This is the first layer of oil paint being
applied to the canvas. After several layers, the painstaking
texturizing process began.
This
is the completed painting -- 22 feet wide, 5.5 feet high.
(6.7 x 1.7 meters)
Because of the heavy oil texture, several weeks of drying time
were allowed before being wrapped, and boxed for shipping.

Here is the painting getting ready to be crated for shipping.

This
is the finished painting, on a gallery wall...
